Technology
Speaker housings are still mostly made of wood. If another material for a loudspeaker base, such as steel, ceramic, plastics, etc., is used for coupling, then only material-related decoupling is achieved and not real coupling. Ebony is the most homogeneous natural material for creating a coupling between loudspeaker and base, which ensures frequency-neutral tonality. Regardless of the speaker housing material, the Ebony LS have a harmonizing effect on cabinet resonances. The material we use has been stored for at least 10 years, making it a rare raw material.
